An adventure which started with a long drive to the lake which surrounds the magnificent Taal Volcano. Then, we sailed aboard a motor boat to the shore which was the body of the volcano itself. A treacherous uphill horseback ride to the peak ensued. Quite back breaking for the oldies Dad and Mom, but was exciting nonetheless. We did not mind the heat-- as we were all too focused on the task of climbing up and conquering Taal. And we were entertained by Diego's constant humming of the "Indiana Jones" theme song-- pa pa ra pah papa rah pa pa pa pah papa rah rah rah!The view of the crater of Taal Volcano was really an extra ordinary treat! The calm water and fresh air contrast the busy buzz of tourists--what an adventure! Nice break from the city.
