Hot Air Balloon Festival 2010

It has become a family tradition- the annual road trip to the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark, Pampanga. This year, we played hosts to cousin Joshua who experienced the Hot Air Balloon Festival for the first time.

As in the past, we woke up really early before sunrise, prepared our picnic basket then headed North to Clark. And once destination reached, it was fun, fun all the way. First, we watched hot air balloons of various sizes and shapes as they flew through the air. Then, we set up our tent and got ready for some more adventure! We did our rounds of the "military booths". The tanks, the fighter planes, the army jeeps and for the first time, helicopters! Then the ammunition display- guns, camouflage and other gadgets! We could not get enough of these-- and we look forward to doing this again and again in years to come.

PBA Game

Dad took us to our first ever live basketball game last Friday (Feb 12). It was the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) game between Ginebra (Dad's favorite team)and Alaska. We cheered for Dad's team but ofcourse. Unfortunately, his team lost that night. But the experience was very manly indeed! Mom came to watch with us too-- and probably enjoyed just hanging out with the boys the most!

So, we learned a few moves and learned a lot about basketball. Also, we now know what goes on during commercial breaks on TV- they distribute free t-shirts to the audience. And most amazing (sometimes scary for Mom) is that these free t-shirts are launched via an air gun.

Thanks, Dad! It was a night we will always remember. We will probably do the same thing with our sons in the future- do manly stuff, you know!

Condura Run 2010: Once More, For The Dolphins This Time

For the third consecutive year, we participated in the annual Condura Run. Extra special this year as the beneficiary was Dad's favorite sea animal- the dolphin! Enjoying post-race treat of ice popsies.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
